Brooke Sufrin

"RYT 200, Teaching Mixed Level Vinyasa"

Brooke began practicing yoga in 2019 as an exploration into mental and physical wellness during college. Two years later, she felt compelled to dive deeper into the practice witch led her to her first teacher training. In December of 2021, Brooke achieved her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate at Sonic Yoga in Manhattan, studying under Keith Pardington who has become her advocate in the teaching world and inspires her to learn more, practice fiercely, and to always continue finding the state of yoga.

Brooke is currently pursuing her 300 hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training program at Yajamahe Yoga so she can become a registered 500 hour teacher.

Brooke received a certificate in Trauma Yoga at Sacred Space Astoria where she learned how trauma takes hold in the body and the methods in which yoga can heal.

She believes that the state of yoga means to clear the mind, tap into the breath, and maybe find a bit of bliss.

In Brooke’s classes you will find breath guiding the poses, with strategic sequencing that includes peak poses. She offers modifications and room to explore the postures and your abilities further.

Mindful movement, focusing on the inhalation and exhalation of the breath, is the signature of Vinyasa Yoga. Postures are sequenced in a manner to first warm up the body before moving to more challenging postures with opportunities for deeper stretching. Expect lengthening, twisting, balancing, strengthening, and seated postures.  Modifications are offered for most postures, while more experienced students are welcome to move into advanced variations.
