"RYT 200, Teaching Gentle Yoga"

Georges is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with a commitment to living mindfully. Through his personal practice, Georges found that the yogic path brings greater benefits than just the physical. He also found clarity, compassion, and balance.

Georges trained with Melissa Boyd, and is currently enrolled in a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training program to achieve his 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500) certification. In addition to his training, Georges maintains a dedicated daily practice that keeps his teaching authentic and rooted in experience.

His classes are built on mindfulness, breath awareness, and the belief that yoga is for everyone—regardless of age, experience, or background. Through yoga, Georges aims to guide students toward connection—within themselves, with others, and with the present moment.

Whether on the mat or in everyday life, Georges strives to share the peace, strength, and the joy that yoga has brought to him.

05:30 PM
Yin-Vinyasa Yoga IN STUDIO
with Georges Katsoros
1 hour and 15 minutes
This class begins with a series of Yin Yoga poses to gently open up the body before moving into a Classical Vinyasa Yoga sequence. Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissue and the fascia which surrounds muscle fibers. This is a passive practice where postures are held for three minutes, supported by props when necessary to ensure comfort. Yin helps improve joint mobility and release trauma stored in the joints and muscles. Vinyasa is a more active practice, with awareness of the breath while moving into the pose, holding the pose, and moving out of the pose. “Classical” Vinyasa means these postures are held for at least five breaths. Vinyasa does not mean constant movement. In Classical Yoga poses are held to bring about transformation. This class is suitable for students of all levels.
