"RYT 200, Teaching Gentle Yoga"

Georges is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with a commitment to living mindfully. Through his personal practice, Georges found that the yogic path brings greater benefits than just the physical. He also found clarity, compassion, and balance.

Georges trained with Melissa Boyd, and is currently enrolled in a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training program to achieve his 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500) certification. In addition to his training, Georges maintains a dedicated daily practice that keeps his teaching authentic and rooted in experience.

His classes are built on mindfulness, breath awareness, and the belief that yoga is for everyone—regardless of age, experience, or background. Through yoga, Georges aims to guide students toward connection—within themselves, with others, and with the present moment.

Whether on the mat or in everyday life, Georges strives to share the peace, strength, and the joy that yoga has brought to him.

My Schedule
13 Wednesday
12:00 PM
Gentle Vinyasa Yoga IN STUDIO
with Georges Katsoros
1 hour
Awareness of the breath is encouraged to facilitate movement in and out of poses. Postures include spine lengthening, twisting, gentle hip and chest opening in a manner accessible to most people. This class is good for beginners and experienced students who prefer a more gentle practice.
05:30 PM
Yin Yoga IN STUDIO
with Georges Katsoros
1 hour and 15 minutes
This style of yoga targets the deep connective tissue and the fascia which surrounds muscle fibers. This is a passive practice where mainly supine postures are held for three to five minutes. Students are encouraged to use their breath to enter into meditation while holding the pose, often with the aid of props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks. The stretching should not be painful. Yin differs from Restorative Yoga in that there is stretching involved in order to strengthen and lengthen the muscles and connective tissue to improve joint mobility and release trauma in the body whereas Restorative Yoga’s focus is on relaxation and letting go. In Yin Yoga you are encouraged to relax into the pose, allowing gravity to take you deeper. You may wear socks and a long sleeve tee shirt and other comfortable clothes. This class is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners.
